My new energy label is wrong — what do I do?

Common NTA 8800 errors: (a) wrong façade/roof/floor Rc-value input; (b) insulation skipped or unweighted; (c) PV install missed; (d) wrong heat-pump capacity. Plan:

  1. Request calculation result (XML) from the EP advisorrequired per BRL 9500
  2. check input vs your reality (Rc, glazing types, surfaces)
  3. submit written objection within 6 weeks
  4. on refusalcomplaint to certifying body (KIWA, BREEAM-NL etc.)
  5. escalateCentral Energy Expert College + disciplinary college if needed. Pro tip: compare with neighbouring property on woningmarkt.nl or nieuwlabel.nl — abnormal deviation = strong suspicion of error.
