Wrong final statement = suspend payment + formal dispute + Geschillencommissie. We explain the process and provide the letter.

A final statement (after contract end or switch) must be based on measured meter readings or readings you supplied. Common errors:
- estimated readings while a smart meter exists,
- wrong tariff calculation (old tariff applied to new-tariff period),
- unaccounted feed-in credit,
- duplicated grid fees. What to dopay the undisputed portion; dispute the rest in writing within 30 days, announcing a GCE complaint. Under standard energy contract terms the supplier may NOT start collection during an active dispute. Keep all evidence (old invoices, meter photos, switch confirmation).
