Fraudehelpdesk — fraud + identity theft reporting

Fraudehelpdesk (part of the Dutch Foundation for Combating Financial-Economic Crime) is THE first reporting point for fraud in the Netherlands. What's covered? Phishing (email + SMS + WhatsApp), bank-helpdesk fraud, "friend-in-need" scams, identity theft, data-breach abuse, Marktplaats/Vinted scams, invoice fraud, look-alike emails, donation fraud. What they do: (1) Free advice via 088-786 76 76, (2) referrals to police, bank, and/or Slachtofferhulp, (3) collect patterns and share with law enforcement, (4) publish warnings (Phishing-radar) about active attacks. When to report? Immediately after discovery. No threshold — even if you suffered no damage, your report helps recognise patterns. No enforcement: Fraudehelpdesk is not an investigative agency. For criminal report: police. For GDPR aspect (leaked data): AP complaint. Speed: phone is immediate, online form reply within 24-48 hours.
