Plan: (1) Check if your municipality auto-pays known welfare/AOW recipients — some do, others need active application; (2) Apply via municipal website or form with income proof (UWV statement, welfare bank statement); (3) Decision window 8 weeks (Awb 4:13); on lapse: formal notice with 14 days; (4) On refusal: object within 6 weeks — check municipal policy for overly strict income/asset assessment; (5) Continued refusal: appeal to administrative court (€51 consumer fee).
