Is this a real energy supplier site or a copycat?
Copycat sites usually run via deviating domains. 7 checks (KvK, ACM license, SSL, EAN input safety) reveal scams in 2 minutes.
7 checks to spot a real energy site: (1) domain exactly matches the official name (vattenfall.nl, eneco.nl — not vattenfall-deal.nl or eneco-tarief.com); (2) SSL padlock + "https" — absence is a red flag; (3) Footer with KvK number + address + phone — verify KvK at kvk.nl; (4) ACM supply license named and verifiable on acm.nl; (5) No "submit EAN for quote" or "pay first for quote"; (6) Footer with VAT number + T&Cs + Privacy Policy; (7) Hover-check links — do they all point to the same main domain? When in doubt: open in incognito, do whois (whois.domaintools.com), check Trustpilot. For established suppliers you know the site — beware of "new cheap" suppliers.
