7 checks to spot a real energy site:

  1. domain exactly matches the official name (vattenfall.nl, eneco.nlnot vattenfall-deal.nl or eneco-tarief.com)
  2. SSL padlock + "https"absence is a red flag
  3. Footer with KvK number + address + phoneverify KvK at kvk.nl
  4. ACM supply license named and verifiable on acm.nl
  5. No "submit EAN for quote" or "pay first for quote"
  6. Footer with VAT number + T&Cs + Privacy Policy
  7. Hover-check linksdo they all point to the same main domain? When in doubt: open in incognito, do whois (whois.domaintools.com), check Trustpilot. For established suppliers you know the site — beware of "new cheap" suppliers.
