DigiD misuse or phishing — what do I do?
On suspected DigiD misuse: (1) Change password: login at digid.nl > Mijn DigiD > Password. (2) Can't login: call DigiD helpdesk 088 123 65 55 to block DigiD. New activation code by post (5-7 days). (3) Deactivate DigiD app on stolen phone: via account settings or helpdesk. (4) Check login history: see when + what DigiD was used for. (5) Identity fraud: report to Central Identity Fraud Desk (CMI) via rvig.nl/identiteitsfraude and file police report. (6) Bank + DUO + benefits: ask each agency if unusual requests were made in your name.

- 2Call DigiD helpdesk if locked088 123 65 55 Mon-Fri 8:00-20:00, Sat 9:00-17:30. Give BSN + situation. Helpdesk blocks DigiD.
- 3Deactivate DigiD app on stolen phoneOnline via account settings or via helpdesk. Prevents further misuse via stolen device.
- 4Check login historyIn Mijn DigiD see when + what DigiD was used for. Unknown logins = evidence for CMI.
- 5Report to CMI + policeCMI: rvig.nl/identiteitsfraude. Police: 0900-8844 for damage claim.
