May someone film me in my own home?
Own home = private place (Sr Art. 138 + 139a/b). Covert recording criminal. Filming by others = almost never allowed.
Your own home = strongest privacy protection under Dutch + ECHR law (Art. 8). Three scenarios: (1) Covert recording by visitor/resident = criminal under Sr Art. 139a (audio) or 139b (image), max 6 months prison. (2) Someone in your home films themselves + you incidentally in frame = grey area. Ask stop + erasure. GDPR Art. 6 basis usually missing. (3) Camera by neighbour aimed at your window/balcony = GDPR breach (see neighbour-camera). Routes on covert recording: police report + GDPR erasure + civil damages claim. On intimidation also Sr Art. 285b (stalking). Important exception: a party to a conversation may record audio for own evidence — but not publish. Image is stricter. On smart-home devices: Alexa/Google Home keep continuous audio — manage privacy settings + delete recordings regularly.
