What changes:
- your electricity consumption rises sharply (full heat pump typically adds 3,000-7,000 kWh/year)
- you may need a heavier connection (3×35A instead of 3×25A)upgrade costs €350-€1,500 + monthly higher grid charges
- a dynamic tariff can pay off if your heat pump runs via energy management outside peak hours
- gas use dropsbut you still pay gas fixed fees unless you actually disconnect (separate request).
Tip: get an installation quote with Total Cost of Ownership including upgrade + tariff change, not just the unit price.
