Can my supplier lower the feed-in tariff?
During a fixed contract: no — not without giving you the right to cancel at no cost. Outside a contract: yes, with 30 days notice and transparent justification.
The feed-in tariff is contractually part of your supply agreement. A reduction during a fixed contract triggers the same right as a price hike: cancel at no cost under Energy Act 2024 art. 7. A feed-in cost surcharge (separate from the tariff) is only allowed if transparent, cost-based and expressly stated in the contract offer. Outside contract (term expired, variable tariff) the supplier may change with 30 days written notice. Reduced without that notice? Demand in writing the old rate until 30 days after notification and file a complaint.
