Can my supplier share my consumption data with third parties?

Only with explicit consent and for a specific purpose. Limited anonymised statistical sharing is allowed. We explain rights and opt-out.

Under GDPR (art. 6(1)(a)) sharing personally identifiable consumption data with third parties (energy coach, marketing partner, data broker) is only allowed with YOUR explicit, informed consent for a SPECIFIC purpose. Blanket "we may share data for analysis" clauses in standard terms are often invalid under GDPR art. 7. Anonymised statistical data (non-identifiable) may be shared more broadly but must be demonstrably irreversibly anonymised. Opt-out: file a written GDPR access + objection request (arts. 15 + 21); you have a right to a response within 1 month. On refusal: complaint to the Dutch DPA.
