UHT (toeslagen.nl/herstel) handles recovery requests for wrongful clawbacks. Provides: (a) waiver of outstanding debt + standard €30,000 compensation for recognised victims; (b) full re-assessment of your file; (c) extra compensation on provable additional damage (lost income, home, health). What to do:

  1. Apply at toeslagen.nl/herstel with BSN + file numbers.
  2. Personal interview with a recovery officer.
  3. Decision in 6-9 months.
  4. On recognitiondirect €30,000 payout, then individual tailoring.
  5. On refusalobject within 6 weeks; on continued refusal: court appeal. Children of victims: separate scheme since 2023 (€1,000-€10,000 by age at time of harm). For support: municipality, lawyer via RECHT in Beweging foundation, or Victim Support Netherlands.
