On loss/theft of passport, ID card or driving license in NL: (1) Report to city: appointment via city website or visit Stadsloket. Fill loss declaration — replaces police report. (2) Order new document immediately: passport photo + other valid ID (e.g. driving license if passport lost). (3) Delivery: passport/ID 5 working days, express 1 working day (extra cost). License: 5-10 working days via RDW. (4) Documents become invalid: registered in national system when you report loss. No more travel with it. (5) Police report only on violence or ID fraud: 0900-8844 non-emergency, 112 on violence. (6) Costs: passport €88.98 (2026), ID card €75.73, license €52.75. No refund.
